Agartala, Sep 20 (TIWN): Apart from Arnab Chakraborty, the prime accused of multi-crore scam under Rashtrita Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) and other higher ups, a huge amount has been siphoned at district and sub division level by other officials under RMSA and SSA.

According to the intellectuals, if the government conducts proper investigation in the entire Sabroom, embezzlement of crores would come to light. Sources revealed that a major portion of the fund for RMSA and SSA allotted by the Centre are not utilized properly. 

A number of project funds under SSA have been siphoned by officials. Allegations were raised that most of the works were done violating the guidelines of RMSA. A school building has been constructed that lacks in basic infrastructure. The building does not have table, bench as well as power facility.

Though amount was sanctioned for constructing school building, long time passed, but building was not constructed. The expenditure for the sanctioned amount could not be traced. Projecting false report, a section of SSA and RMSA officials in Sabroom allegedly siphoned funds for construction of school building, additional class rooms and toilet as well. The intellectual section of Sabroom demanded probe and special enquiry into the issue.
