AGARTALA, Sep 4 (TIWN): East Agartala Women Police Station was gheraoed by Congress on Tuesday evening followed by the revelation of brutal tortures upon a housewife Rupa Banik (Saha) at Banamalipur by her husband Shaikat Saha, who is the booth president of Banamlaipur (CM's constituency).

According to Congress when crimes against women are on spike and ruling party claims it's in down, it was revealed that BJP leader himslef torturing his wife brutally. Demanding proper investigation and arrest of the culprits, Congress gheraoed East Agartala Women PS. 

The victim on yesterday told media, "My husband since the our marriage along with his mother tortures me with various issues including dowry".

"Three of them (husband, in-laws) torture me and then accuse my character saying this kid doesn't belong to them", said the victim. 

"Since 9 days they are not giving me any proper food. It has been two years, one month that I was married to him, but since the marriage they are torturing me. They have been torturing me saying my parents couldn't give me furniture according to their status. I am poor's daughter and so my parents couldn't give me proper golden ornaments and day night insults and tortures of the I was tolerating", she said.

Being asked by media what she wants now, she replied, "I want proper justice to me. I will not stay in that house anymore. My husband always tells me that he is the president of 9-no Banamalipur of the ruling party and thus I can't do anything to him.
