AGARTALA, September 15 (TIWN): Commemorating the birth anniversary of iconic engineer M.Visesvaraya, a mass rally today walked on the main streets of the capital city. The birthday of one of the most influential engineers from the history of contemporary India, Sir M Visvesvaraya is also observed as Engineers Day across the nation. The rally lead by forest minister Naresh Jamatia started from City Centre where engineers from various government offices, educational institutions persons of eminence and common men participated to celebrate the spirit of 47th Engineers Day.
The rally was jointly organized by Tripura State Centre of the Institute of Engineers, All Tripura Engineers Association, State Engineers Association (Tripura) National Institute of Technology, ICFAI University, Tripura Institute of Technology and Hapania Women Polytechnic. Minister Naresh Jamatia in his speech told that all works of developments and beautification are carried on by the engineers and the relentless work of the engineers will contribute towards making the Indian engineering science a world class one. The rally marked its end near the city centre premise, after covering many parts of the capital.
