AGARTALA, September 13 (TIWN): Police recovered a total of 350 liters of country-made liquor at Bartala Bridge here today.
Speaking to TIWN, officer-in-charge of Bartala Out Post, Manas Paul said that acting on a tipoff, a raid was conducted near the Bartala Bridge and we recovered 350 liters of country-made liquor from a Mahindra magic van bearing number (TR01-E-2139). The van was coming from Madhupur towards Agartala to sell the illegal country-made liquor.
The driver of the vehicle namely Partha Debnath was arrested. He was the resident of Madhupur and will be produced before the court – the officer further added.
