Kamalpur, September 11 (TIWN): Barely 20 days left for the Bengali’s grand festival Durga Puja, with the state Tripura geared up for the celebration. Along with the capital city Agartala, the preparations at the sub-divisions are on a peak.
As part of the Durga Puja preparations, the YRC Club at Kamalpur Sub-Division, this year has come up with 530 meter long pandals across a pond, with 108 different masks of Devi Durga idol to be placed accross the pond.
While talking to the YRC Club Puja Committee Secretary Sanjib Ghosh Sarkar informed that one Shibu Paul hired from Kolkata has been placed to make 108 different masks of Devi Durga idol and another Sankar Debnath from Nabadip has been placed to make the pandal. He further informed that different accessories like umbrellas, thermocol and others will be used while making the Puja Pandal, where 108 idols of Durga will be placed. And this year their budget is Rs. 9 Lakh.
However, though the artisans are facing some troubles while designing the pandal due to some natural barrier but they are working days and nights in order to finish up making pandals. It has been since 20-25 days that the artisans are working on it.
