AGARTALA (Hapania), Feb 20 (TIWN): Amid lack of industrialization, state Tripura has started 28th Industries & Commerce fair at Hapania today.

Chief Secretary Sanjeev Ranjan inaugurated the fair, which will be continued for 10 days long.

Total 115 participants have opened their stalls at there in a 34825 sq.ft area.

From State Govt, NEILIT and Industries & Commerce Dept have participated, whereas from state PSUs / Societies the participants are  Tripura Tea Development Corporation Lmt, Tripura Khadi & Village industries board, Tripura Jut Mill, Tripura Natural Gas company lmt, Tripura Tourism Development Corporation Limt, Tripura Bamboo Mission& IL & FS, JICA have participated.

The Central Govt organizations are : Northeast industries Development Financial Institution, BSNL, OTPC-Palatana.

There are also units from inside state, other states and few from Bangladesh.

Needless to say, this type of hollow Industry fair without new Industries is sheer waste of taxpayer money - usual show by State Govt to fool masses even though year after year lakhs of unemployment on the rise.
