AGARTALA, Feb 10 (TIWN): Finally, after 25 years of Central fund led Govt running policy, the CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar has announced today that CPI-M Govt will continue its own homework to grow GDP and to generate revenue at its own power just 8 days ahead of the crucial Assembly Election. Since the beginning Tripura was pushing by the Central Govts to stand on its own feet, but till day with 90 : 10 fund sharing with Centre, Tripura has been recorded with highest commodity prices in compare to other state with nil industrialization and massive down in the agriculture in last 10 years. Lack of income source, poor pay scale and high commodity prices are the causes of major angers which grew among the public against the Left Govt and taking the opportunity public resentment, the opposition BJP has promised to give 7th pay commission for employees and to grow industry as well as agriculture.
Addressing the press at Agartala Press Club, Bijan Dhar said, “Central Govt is not giving funds in sufficient manners. But, we also don’t need the Central fund. We will grow industry, agriculture and focus on the domestic productions so that industries can grow”.
“BJP is a party of Corporates. So, we don’t expect anything from that Govt”, added Dhar.
Targeting the BJP led Central Govt, Dhar said, “RSS ruled BJP is trying to attack the democracy. They are attacking the Indian constitution, trying to modify it. But against such moves of BJP, whole country is fighting”.
Regarding BJP’s chances of coming in power, Bijan Dhar said, “Earlier also oppositions tried to change the Govt but people have given their answers”.
The CPI-M leader also slammed BJP for constant badmouthings against Chief Minister beyond all limits.
