AGARTALA, Feb 7 (TIWN): Raising issue of Tripura's unemployment toll and lack of source of income, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said that Tripura is lagging behind only because of the ruling govt's bad governance.
Boosting BJP led Assam Govt Sonowal said at Jirania, "Whereas BJP ruled states are now seeing enormous growth and development, state Assam is witnessing tremendous changes beating all the challenges it faced in Congress Era".
"We invested 6,500 crores in Assam last year, 40,000 unemployed youths got jobs. Only in schools above 20,000 teachers had been recruited and GDP has increased 21.6 %", Sonowal added.
"PM Modi himself has expressed concerns about Tripura's development and ofcourse Tripura can be a model state. It has much possibilities to be a tourist hub", said Sonowal.
"Like Assam and other BJP states, Tripura Govt Employees will get 7th Pay Commission with the first cabinet meeting after BJP Govt will come in power", Sonowal added.
