New Delhi, June 2 (TIWN) India's mining major, National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC), has produced 3.2 million tonne of iron ore in May 2022, which is 14.3 per cent higher than 2.8 million tonne produced in May 2021.
The mining company has sold 2.65 million tonne of iron ore in May 2022. NMDC's cumulative production during April and May 2022 stood at 6.35 million tonne, a 7.4 per cent growth from the cumulative production of 5.91 million tonne from the previous year. The country's largest iron ore producer sold 5.77 million tonne in the first two months of FY23. "Our consistent growth in production has not only made NMDC the fastest growing iron ore mining company in India but also the most consistent supplier to the domestic steel sector, " said Sumit Deb, CMD of NMDC. "We have strengthened our core by welcoming a fleet of new age technology and digital interventions to our business, " he added.
