New York, Aug 7 (TIWN) In a terrible scare as the US reels under two back-to-back mass shootings, people at Times Square on Tuesday night were seen running in all directions after hearing a loud bang.

Several tourists were seen crying on 44th and 45th Street on Eighth Avenue after a sea of people started running all over.  According to some eyewitnesses, they heard a loud bang and then everyone started running across directions. 

They ran into shopping stores, hotels, restaurants amid scare of a mass shooting, in the wake of recent Texas and Ohio mass shootings.  The NYPD police swarmed the area within minutes while certain shows on Broadway were immediately halted.  The exact reason for the scare was not known.
