Death toll rises to 30 in Uganda boat accident

Kampala, Nov 25 (TIWN / IANS) The death toll in the boat accident on Lake Victoria in Uganda has risen to 30, police said on Sunday.
Joint police and military marine teams, together with local divers, have so far rescued 27 people, Xinhua news agency quoted police as saying.
The boat was reportedly carrying over 120 passengers, beyond its capacity of 100, when it capsized on Saturday. It was travelling from KK beach in the capital city of Kampala to Mukono district.
