AGARTALA, Jan 18 (TIWN): PM Modi's Tripura visit schedule to be changed due to the election date's announcement today. The Assembly Election, which has been announced to be held on February 18, has been accepted by all the political parties happily.
"Right now, the date of PM Modi's arrival has been given January 31st but it may be changed. Either it will be postponed or PM Modi's rally to be held before 31st January", Biplab Deb told media.
"Presently we are having core committee meetings and after decision is taken we will announce about the date", said Biplab Deb.
Chief Election Commissioner AK Jyoti told reporters, "Election for the three states will happen in two rounds. Tripura will vote on 18 February, 2018, which is a Sunday. Meghalaya and Nagaland will vote on 27 February which is a Tuesday. Counting in all states will be on March 3rd".
