KHOWAI, Jan 17 (TIWN): Following the Khowai rape incident and 86 % crime against women in Tripura, BJP Mohila Morcha activists have come on protest today evening.

A silent candle march was conducted at the Capital City Agartala by the Mohila Morcha. 

Last time (Jan-15) one tribal girl was victimized in rape, D/O-Taradahan Debbarma, resident of  Khowai Dist.

BJP Mohila Morcha led by President Papiya Datta rushed to Champahawar Police Station in the evening  and demanded proper investigation into the case.

In a press release, the Mohila Morcha leader Papiya Datta said, "Once again in the so called Golden Era, rape and murder incident have triggered resentments and shocked us.

The incident took place at Asharambari under Khowai Dist. At around night 9 AM her body was recovered.

A team of Mohila Morcha met the OC at there and demanded proper investigation. 

Today a silent rally was staged by the opposition women leaders condemning the increasing brutal attacks upon women.
