AGARTALA, Jan 16 (TIWN): Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Vijay Sampla today answering a question asked by Tripura media related to CPI-M's allegation of National Security advisor Ajit Doval's meeting BJP delegates said, "Why should we believe in rumours (Suni-Batey) without proves" ?
However, the Minister ended the issue by one line signifying that no picture or video could be released by CPI-M in this regard.
Tripura CPI-M has filed a complaint to Election Commission alleging National Security advisor Ajit Dhoval has met Rajnath Singh in the presence of BJP National Secretary Ram Madhav and also RSS leader Krishna Gopal.
CPI-M in a letter to EC said that Ajit Doval who is India’s most powerful security bureaucrat, attended a BJP-RSS meeting where election strategies for three Northeastern states were discussed.
Citing media reports, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) on Monday claimed that he was present at a BJP-RSS meeting where election strategy for the upcoming Tripura, Meghalaya and Nagaland assembly elections was discussed at home minister’s Rajnath Singh’s house.
“If correct, this is a shocking violation of norms and serious misconduct,” a CPI-M statement said. “How can a senior government functionary like the NSA be present in a meeting to discuss the BJP’s election campaign?”
The Left party asked the home minister to clarify the government’s stand on the issue. But today being asked by media, Central BJP Minister Vijay Sampla asked not to take 'gossips' seriously.
