AGARTALA, Jan 14 (TIWN): Children across state, especially in rural areas have burnt Burir-Ghor on Sunday.
Before the sun rise, the burir-ghors were burnt as a part of celebrating Push Sankranti.
Burir-ghor is a home made with coconut tree leaves and it’s burnt on the last date of ‘Poush’ month (Bengali’s month).
Apart from that, across house to house Makar Sankranti celebrations have marked the Bengali traditional occasions.
All Bengali families women are now busy to making pithas for their family members. Holiday with sweets has cheered the children of the houses too.
