AGARTALA, Jan 6 (TIWN): Saying a big ‘No’ to Tipraland, BJP leader Subal Bhowmik today told media, “The way CPI-M is trying to paint the meeting among IPFT and BJP, linking PM Modi with terrorists is totally undemocratic statement. Tribals of Tripura didn’t participate in Independence movement of India and thus PM Modi’s meeting with them was just an attempt to bring them in the mainstream. There was no discussion about Tipraland but just a discussion on socio, economic, cultural issuesâ€. A chaos also hit the BJP Office with cross questioning about BJP’s unclear stand on NC Debbarma and Central Govt’s talks. BJP President Biplab Deb was constantly saying that there was no discussion on Tipraland and in future also BJP’s stand will remain against Tipraland. The issue was raised after PM Modi and Home Minister Rajnath Singh’s meeting with IPFT, INPT leaders and Subal Bhowmik further said, “CPI-M has only used the tribal sentiment but never tried for their developments".
"The word terrorism was introduced in Tripura by CPI-M since 1993. Who had created ATTF ?” The anti-tribal sentiment of CPI-M Govt has deprived them and on the other side using ATTF like organization, terrorism had been continued”, added Bhowmik.
Question was also raised about the CMP committee and the purpose of it. Subal Bhowmik said that there is no link on Tipraland but just to hold talks on socio, cultural developments the committee was formed.
Media raised question, “Everytime it happens that BJP leaders say that they oppose the Tipraland but NC Debbarma says Central Govt’s support is there with Tipraland”. In reply Biplab Deb said, “If NC Debbarma has said that Central Govt supported Tipraland, it’s fake”.
