AGARTALA, Jan 3 (TIWN): Like every year the five day long police week has begun at Monoranjan Debbarma Memorial Stadium. While addressing at the police personnel at there, Tripura’s DGP A K Sukla said, “Tripura Police’s success is huge. Infact it comes after Punjab in counter attacking terrorismâ€. However, Chief Minister Manik Sarkar going one step further than DGP said, “What DGP has said its true but I like to mention that Tripura is the most unique state of India among all of its statesâ€. “We know we can not pay much to the police officials but we have many depts. and for all the state govt stands forâ€, added CM. Police week is celebrated in Tripura from January 3 to 6. To celebrate the success of State police, several programs are organized at Manoranjan Debbarma Memorial Stadium, A.D. Nagar. To mark the occasion, parade was also organised by the Director General of Police A K Sukla and all other of Tripura police.
The program was grace by the Chief Minister Manik Sarkar.
Chief Minister further said that police should focus on building up better coordination with the people. Moreover, fencing along the border is incomplete in some patches. In order to arrest the rising graph of road accidents, Traffic unit needs to devise and develop a trafficking system in the state.
However, a cultural event was organized where welcome speech was delivered by DGP. Chief Minister also preside over the event where he also inspected the parade contingent.
Chief Minister Manik Sarkar also handed over trophy and certificate to the nominated personnel’s for their achievements in the field at Manoranjan Debbarma stadium at AD Nagar police.
