TIWN Dec 31, 2017

AGARTALA, Dec 31 (TIWN): As per Supreme Court’s verdict, the 10323 teachers termination is today.
Total 8622 teachers have received termination letters.
The teaches have received termination letters today along with 6 months of ad hoc basis temporary jobs. Other teachers have already gotten jobs through TET Examination.
4150 teachers have been terminated under primary basis, GT 3740, PGT 772.
In 2014 when High Court with terminations of 10323 teachers jobs, asked the state govt to 'save their jobs by providing the deprived youths jobs too', but the State Govt's arrogance stretched the issue at Supreme Court and finally lost again on March 29, 2017.
After that State Govt appealed at SC for revision of the judgment and again the state govt lost the case, but SC asked Tripura Govt if it wants 10323 teachers can be appointed on ad hoc basis to diminish teachers crisis, but just maximum for 6 months. SC also said that 'no further appeal in this regard will be accepted'.
However, state BJP is now going to New Delhi with teachers claiming to demand the teachers jobs back, but question remains, how after SC’s verdict central govt can change the verdict ?
