Agartala, Aug 21 (TIWN): Govt. of Tripura received another installment of MGNREGA fund. This time central allocated seventy one crore and twenty nine lakhs rupees for the implementation of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act program. Initially central Rural Development ministry was released Rs 108 crore for the current financial year. After a long period central government allocated this amount in their second installment.
Meanwhile, central was earmarked about Rs 1407 crore for the current financial year, but in revised budget it comes down in only 660 crore, while UPA govt. was released Rs 943.66 crore in Tripura during last year.
RD minister Naresh Jamatia already expressed his dissatisfaction over the delayed of allocation of MGNREGA fund. State Minster also demanded to increase the allocation as earmarked earlier. But no official assurance has received so far, said official sources.
