AGARTALA / UDAIPUR, Dec 1 (TIWN): The Ld. J.M 1st Class Court No. 03 Udaipur, Gomati District, has convicted 01 (One) accused person namely Sri Abdul Kader Miah (35) S/o Rajak Miah of Rani PS Kakraban under Gomati District.

On 13-02-2016, Kakraban PS Case No. 2016KKB011 U/S 498(A)/34 IPC, was registered on the basis of written complaint of the complainant against the accused persons namely (1) Sri Abdul Kader Miah (35) S/o Rajak Miah (2) Rajak Miah S/O Lt. Gafur Miah (3) Smt. Saru Bibi W/O Md Rajak Miah all of Rani PS Kakraban under Gomati District (4) Smt. Jyoshna Bibi D/O Md. Saddek Miah of Dugara PS Sonamura under Shipahijala District; for subjecting cruelty/torture upon the complainant at her matrimonial house at Rani PS kakraban over the issue of dowry demand.

After investigation, charge sheet was filed by SI Prabal Deb of Kakraban PS, I.O of the case; on 29-02-2016, against the accused persons. Vide Kakraban PS Charge Sheet No. 10/2016 U/S-498(A)/34 IPC.

 The trial Court on appreciation of evidence found the accused person namely Sri Abdul Kader Miah (35) is guilty U/S 498(A) IPC and sentenced him to suffer rigorous imprisonment for a term of 01 (One) years.
