AGARTALA, Nov 28 (TIWN): Chief Election Commissioner Achal Kumar Jyoti has arrived in Tripura today, 3 months ahead of State’s crucial Assembly Election.

After arrival, Jyoti held meeting with Tripura’s High Govt Officials,  SP and DM West. His visit has been said as election-preparatory action.

Apart from Tripura, Jyoti is also visiting various states which will undergo polling sessions by next year.

Achal Kumar Jyoti IAS is the current and 21st Chief Election Commissioner of India from 6 July 2017. He is a retired 1975 batch IAS officer belonging to Gujarat cadre.
