AGARTALA, Nov 10 (TIWN): Amidst increasing road accidents, a road safety audit was inaugurated by Tripura PWD Minister Badal Chowdhury on Friday.
The audit took place at Pragna Bhawan led by Health Dept officials. Tripura is undergoing at least 1 serious accident per day leading tragic ends.
But without well traffic management, road accidents unlikely to diminished. Moreover, with the double lane project reckless driving is increasing, triggering tension for rise of accident rates.
A Road Safety Audit (RSA) is defined as "the formalsafety performance examination of an existing or future road or intersection by an independent, multidisciplinary team. It qualitatively estimates and reports on potential road safety issues and identifies opportunities for improvements in safety for all road users."
