AGARTALA, Nov 10 (TIWN): Tripura's customers are in demand of price monitoring by the state govt, as the shop-keepers have announced the price hike condition to be continued for more than 1 month.
Asking about monitoring of price hike would be benefited for customers, one purchaser said, "Ofcourse monitoring should be done. If monitoring can down prices, then why not ?"
Another, customers at Gol Bazar told TIWN, "There may be huge gaps among the market price and whole selling price, but state govt has no control on the price tags".
Every items in Tripura has been hiked at 30 % after the flood. On the other side, Tripura Govt has demanded 80 crores of agricultural losses from the central govt, but is not monitoring the items leading mass confusion with the prices, which has generated mass anger among the consumers.
No vegetable is available below 80 - 100 rupees per kilo.
