AGARTALA, Nov 9 (TIWN): One SSA teacher was heavily beaten by CPI-M Panchayat member Arun Nath and CPI-M activist Bappi Barua at Suknachara Village Panchayat in North Tripura.
The victim teacher has been identified as Dakhshina Ranjan Nath, SSA Teacher.
Recently CPI-M MLA Rajendra Reang has allegedly threatened SSA teachers asking not to go for any further protests 'if they want their jobs' to be secured and within 10 days of gap this incident took place.
It was not only a threat about termination, but also Rs. 1000 to Rs. 1500 were asked from primary and upper primary teachers for election purpose. The same allegation about election bribe, was brought by regular state govt employees recently, which was condemned by the opposition party leaders via press conference.
Recently SSA teachers announced to go in massive protest at the end of the November in demand of regularization. This was announced after CM Manik Sarkar denied to meet the SSA teachers after for continuous 7 years, the Chief Minister was escaping to meet them.
Dakhshina Ranjan Nath, SSA Teacher beaten just because he demanded SSA's regularization, pending under the state govt of Tripura.
SSA employees have condemned the attack upon the teacher.
