AGARTALA, Oct 1 (TIWN): The 4 day long Durga puja has ended peacefully on Saturday with no untoward incident took place.
Ahead of Durga puja, Tripura had lost its young journalist Santanu Bhowmik in a political clash among ruling CPI-M and another tribal backed party IPFT.
With this, tight security was provided across the state led the peace to stand firm.
This year the Durga puja had begun on Sep 27 and ended on Sep-30 with Bijoya Dasmi.
However, maximum clubs are yet to complete their immersion procedure of Durga idols and various cultural programmes are still going on, being organized by various clubs.
