AGARTALA, Sep 30 (TIWN): When pains have gripped the Bengal society across the globe on Bijoya Dasami, a women’s group at Agartala Dasmi Ghat has surprised by saying, “Why tearful ? It must be cheerful while saying goodbye to Ma Durga for one year, as years run very busy in the 21st centuryâ€.
“As festival is necessary, so we need to work at offices, homes and work for our children… this is how we can create a better society. From Monday offices will begin and we will start to share our labours for country’s development and that how next year puja will be better”, said Neepa Ghosh (a participant of Immersion).
“For me year runs very fast like our news runs. Apart from that we have Laxmi puja and we need preparation for that followed by Bhai-phota etc etc. Where is the time for cry ?”, added Neepa.
However, on Saturday the immersion of Durga idols have begun, but maximum clubs will not immerse their Goddess and have organized cultural programmes on Dasami.
