Heavy rush in Tripura's meat-markets on Dasami

AGARTALA, Sep 30 (TIWN): After 3 days of Vegetable foods on Saptami, Astami and Nabmi public have rushed to meat markets on the occasion of Dasami.
At Agartala’s Battala meat market the price went high on the occasion of Dasami. However, across the state the situation in meat markets were more or less same.
Dasami is known as ‘Bengali’s food day’ just like pohela baishak. Demand was also high for Hilsa fish across the towns.
Vijayadashami also known as Dasara, Dusshera or dussehra is a major Hindu festival celebrated at the end of Navratri every year (Also 4 day long Durga Puja that begins from Saptami).
