UDAIPUR, Sep 28 (TIWN): Thousands of pilgrims thronged to 500 years old ancient Matabari also known as Ma Tripura Sundari temple on Thursday on the occasion of Maha-Astami.
Since 5 AM devotees were observed in queues to offer ‘bhogs’ to Ma Tripura Sundari.
Thousands of devotees took holy bath in Kalyan Sagar, the lake of Matabari.
Tripura Sundari Temple is situated in the ancient Udaipur, about 55 km from capital city Agartala, considered as the holiest place in the state & from every corners devotees rush to Matabari before they begin a new journey of life.
Either marriage or joining a job, there is no alternative of taking blessing from Ma Tripura Sundari for Tripura people. There would be hardly any visitor from Central Ministers to NRIs that do not visit Tripura Sundari temple when they come in Tripura.
High security has been deployed on this occasion since morning.
