AGARTALA, Sep 26 (TIWN): Traffic systems are beefed up for the upcoming biggest festival of Durga Puja. The system this year become more tightened due to the increasing number of vehicles. At the same time threat messages from Al-Queda also exist.
As per as security is concern, CCTV camera and watch towers will be set up at all sensitive and crowded areas. Recently traffic department held a meeting with the puja organizers/clubs to maintain discipline in the State. Over-crowdedness should be avoided and vehicles should not be allowed in the no-entry zones without any permission/passes.
However in case of issuing No-entry pass, the procedure will be maintained strictly. Unnecessary permits should not be issued. The no-entry passes will be issued based on necessity.
A total of three thousand additional Police and TSR personnels shall be deployed in the State in addition to maintaining the traffic system as well as the law and order movement.
