AGARTALA, Sep 25 (TIWN): Tripura Police couldn’t find out Santnau Bhowmik's mobile phone through which he was covering the IPFT and GMP clashes of Sep-20, as per the police investigation. According to police’s chargesheet-records it has been known that 10-15 people stretched Santanu from the spot of the violence when he was video-recording the clash. But surprisingly, the mobile is now missing which has become the turning point of the case and has turned the case into almost a blind case. But, police also said around 60 people were injured in the clash. Thus question raises, if 60 persons are injured why Santanu’s mobile’s missing has become the turning point, as there must be more witnesses before whom Santanu was killed in the broad day light !
Apart from that after 5 days of the incident also Tripura police couldn’t recover Santanu’s mobile but if the case had submitted under CBI the mobile could be recovered long back.
But the state govt has delayed the case for 5 days already and till day the govt has no intention to demand CBI’s intervention in Santanu murder case. Why is Manik Sarkar much afraid to hand over the case to CBI ???
In Santanu murder case, CBI investigation is must ! Why ? Tripura has experienced loopholes in police investigation from Bimal Sinha murder case to Anuara Chaudhury and lack of seriousness in Santanu murder case has alreday started.
When comes about Santanu murder case, Santanu was beaten at around 2 PM and then brought to GB almost after 3 hours with the lifeless body.
When TIWN called Mandai police at night 9 PM police instead of cooperating said they had no proper information. Not only this police also didn't registered any case on the incident till latenight.
However, it has been confirmed since Sep-19 as fire was intentionally created by CPI-M by mistake Santanu was killed and thus CPI-M fell in own trap by killing a journalist.
