Belonia, Sep 25 (TIWN): All the big budget puja committees of Belonia, Santirbazar,Sabroom have become active to give a new touch and also grace to their celebration.

From today the festive Durga Puja festival to begin, puja mandaps are seen active with their ideas and concepts to make their models, designs and decorations as varied as possible to outdo and even beat one another. Varied will also be the themes. All the big budget puja committees of the towns of Belonia, Santirbazar and Sabroom have become active to give a new touch and also grace to their celebrations in order to attract the devotees and revelers alike and earn their appreciation.

As the reports are pouring in from different parts of South Tripura District  about the puja committees making preparations, it has been the impression that Belonia Orient Club Durga Puja Committee is again going to be the centre of attraction. The organizers this time have planned and even giving final touches to a huge idol of Goddess Durga made entirely from glasses and the artisans from Kolkatta are the idol makers.

It is to be recollected that during the last Durga Puja, Belonia has been the favourite destination. Besides, well decorated and illuminated mandap along with live electronic demonstrations of selected epical incidents and above all the huge welcome arc and the unique idols of Goddess Durga and her offspring as well as, of course, the demon visiting her paternal home.
