AGARTALA, Sep 14 (TIWN): Countdown has begun for Durga puja with the approaching Mahalaya on Tuesday i.e. just after 4 days.

Artisans are now busy to give last finishing touches to the Devi idols across the state.

Amidst  rain, there is no lack of enthusiasm among the buyers at markets. The garment shops are now mostly busy-zones ahead of Durga puja.

Durga Puja this year will begin from Sep-27 and to be continued till Dasami on Sep-30.

For Bengali people Durga puja is the greatest celebration in the whole year. People, especially women, children and girls eagerly wait for the 1st day of Durga Puja.

In the middle Viswakarma Puja also to be celebrated on Sep17 that falls on Sunday.
