AGARTALA, Sep 1 (TIWN): Personnel of the Bangladesh Border Guards (BBG) and the Border Security Force (BSF) exchanged sweets at the Akhaura Check Post along the Indo-Bangladesh border in Tripura today ahead of Eid.

Para-Military commanders of both sides shook hands while soldiers accompanying them exchanged sweets.

In spite of Eid sweet exchanges among border guards, tensions remain high as Jihadi elements continue killings at Bangladesh.

Eid al-Adha, also called the "Sacrifice Feast", is the second of two Muslim holidays celebrated worldwide each year, and considered the holier of the two.
