AGARTALA / BISHALGARH, Aug 29 (TIWN): Convicted in ATM loot Parimal Saha has been found receiving various drug items and blades from his brother in central jail. The incident came in notice through CCTV camera of the jail when criminal Parimal Saha was meeting with his family members Dibakar Debnath and his mother. During the talks the exchange of drugs came in the picture of the jail CCTV footage. Getting informed IG Prison Prabir Pal, SP Sepahijala Sudipta Das rushed to the spot. Parimal Saha was accordingly arrested with tablets, brown sugar packet, Jira (one kind of drug), blade etc was found. This incident has created a tension across the jail premise and question raised how in a Central Jail the culprits dare to bring such items. Most likely such things happen there regularly, but as the matter came to disclose now the security via cyber fields will be tightened more.

Negligence in the central jail is regularly reported as it was on Aug-9 that body of a criminal Chikan Debbarma,was found hanging inside the jail, allegedly committed suicide.

Apart from that prisoners also escaped multiple times from the jail. However, security has been kept in tight to diminish such kinds of incidents.
