AGARTALA, Aug 29 (TIWN): Eventhough Jual Oram has said that ADC funds are not properly utilized in Tripura and there are consistent deprivation done to the tribal people, but Manik Sarkar has blamed the mindset of the tribal people for being undeveloped. However, Sarkar said that since the CPI-M Govt is ruling in state, there have been a tremendous development of tribal areas in compare to the other states. Talking about the recently emerged Tipraland demand, Sarkar said, “Those who are asking for Tipraland and claimed that Tripura is filled by foreigners and original people they should know that Tripura was always lived by Tribals and Bengalis both. But problem is, the tribals were not moving in unison. They use to take certain positions of their own and that has been continued and so they always oppose to usâ€. “How a state can develop without ADC? Tripura couldn’t be developed without the whole areas of the tiny stateâ€, added Sarkar.
However, on the other side, Central Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram during his visit in Tripura said on Modnay at the BJP Head Quarter, “Tipraland is not possible as per the state committee decsion, but State Council will be formed to develop the tribal areas”.
Oram mentioned that Tripura people are not at all happy with the state govt. “Public are saying we are not getting anything, even though the Central Govt is sending funds”, Oram said in the press meet after he visited Chamanu and addressed a rally at there. “We are sanctioning the fund year-wise but the benefits out of those funds are are zero. Allegation also came that under Pradhan Mantri Yojna only the party people are getting highest benefits. ADC although has been created but it's for for the name sake", said Oram.
However, amid the allegations and rejections the Election is knocking the door as just 6 months left only for the Assembly Election. BJP is to challenge the CPI-M Govt after CPI-M's 4 successive terms in Assembly Election-2018, and also the BJPs are receiving a huge response from the common people.
