AGARTALA, Aug 27 (TIWN): 127th birth anniversary of Dr B R Ambedkar was although held on April 14 but Tripura SC / ST Welfare in his remembrance has organized a discussion meet on Sunday.

The discussion was basically in on Secularism and Dr B R Ambedkar's view in it.

The programme conducted at Rabindra Bhawan was inaugurated by CM Manik Sarkar.

Minister of SC Welfare Ratan Bhowmik also remained present on that occasion.

While addressing the hall, Manik Sarkar said, "In our constitution it has been clearly written that what religion will be one's identity it's fully upto the person. Nobody has right to disturb one's religion but today it has been seen that only one religion is given importance. But it has been seen that a section of people are targeting the minority, killing other religion's people. If we can not stop the aggressiveness, then there is no meaning of celebrating Independence day".
