AGARTALA, Aug 18 (TIWN): Sitaram Yechury in a press meet, specially arranged to address about DD's cesoring of CM"s speech asked all the parties to join hands to fight for the rights of the states.

What's going on in the country ? Being a federal country, states are loosing powers", said Yechury.

"This is not permissible. We need to fight back for the rights of the states", said Yechury.

"All the parties come and join hands to fight back BJP. This is an emergency time", said Yechury.

On the other side the BJP on Thursday hit out at the Congress and other opposition parties participating in the "Sajha Virasat Bachao" (save composite culture) conference, terming it an alliance of defeated and "scared people".
