BISHALGARH, Aug 17 (TIWN): Tension, resentment, sorrow have gripped the family members and locals at Madhupur under Bishalgarh when an accused died in lockup.

The deceased named Biswajit Das who had been grilled by Madhupur police in drunken condition has died mysteriously.

Reportedly Biswajit Das often in drunken condition tortured his wife and family members. On Wednesday evening, following a similar episode the locals informed police about the incident.

Police booked him from his home in drunken condition, but how suddenly he died question is raising over it.

However, SP Sudipta Das said unless and until the PM report comes nothing can be said.

Also it has been said that when police was arresting Biswajit Das he said that he had been feeling pains in his body. Immediately he was taken to Hapania Hospital.

Later with doctor's permission Biswajit Das was booked in lockup but within 10 minutes he died.

The death of the accused has created turmoil at Madhupur area.
