AGARTALA, Aug 14 (TIWN): Krishna Janmashtami, the birthday of Lord Krishna, is celebrating in Tripura with full enthusiasm.

There are also various programmes, competitions going on named as 'Krishna Sajo' at Agartala Srikrishna Mission School participated by hundreds of children.

Janmastami commemorates the earthly appearance of Krishna, who is described in India’s sacred writings as God himself.

One of the biggest religious festivals in the world, it is celebrated by nine hundred and thirty million people around the world.
