Agartala, August 5 (TIWN): A delegation of the Lok Jan Shakti Party, Tripura state committee, is slated to leave for Delhi on Thursday.
The party delegates would meet members of the union cabinet during their visit to seek their intervention on a number of issues of the state, LJP state general secretary Loknath Bardhan said here today.
Lok Jan Shakti Party general secretary Bardhan said that the party would seek the central government’s intervention to provide a LPG cylinder to LPG domestic gas against each book, free rationing to people from primitive tribal groups, reduce goods freight for Tripura and start BG conversion work in Lumding-Agartala segment alongwith conversion work in the Lumding-Silchar route.
The party earlier party demanded that the central government should provide liberal scopes to the entrepreneurs for encouraging construction of ware-houses in the remot areas. Capacities of the existing FCI godowns would have to enhanced as well, the party’s new state committee said after its formation in July this year.
A small team from the party delegation visiting Delhi is likely to meet Union minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Ram Vilas Paswan during their stay in Delhi, a source in the party said.
