AGARTALA, Aug 10 (TIWN): Election Commission of India is to launch ERO NET, in a press meet ADM Tamal Majumder announced at Agartala.
"Election Commission of India is going to launch ERO NET for Electoral Roll on 10th August, 2017 in the state. This will be beneficial for the eligible citizens in order to enroll their names in the Electoral role in online vote through National Voter Service Portal (NVSP). The form received in NVSP will be disposed electronically through ERO NET by the competent authorities", said ADM.
The system contains the following features :
1. Contains information about the booth-level officers (BLOs), Electoral Registration Officers (ERO) and District Electoral Officers (DEOs),
2. Felicitate easy searching of names and other particulars in the electoral role,
3. Helps tracking the status of application. Moreover system generated SMS alert will also be sent to the applicants mobiles wherever available,
4. Felicitates faster change of electros from one region to another within the country.
