KAMALPUR, August 5 (TIWN): A delegation of Tribal Student Union (TSU) of Kamalpur Degree College filed memorandum to the Sub Divisional Magistrate on Tuesday. Seeking intervention of the SDM, students was submitted seven point of demand including arrear of the stipend.
Under the leadership of President Deepjit Roy Debbarma & Secretary Rumelia Debbarma five members team meet to SDM R Hemendra Kumar this afternoon. TSU leaders expressed dissatisfaction over the renovation work of hostel premises. They have alleged that the renovation work done by contractor was very poor and thus it is needed again to do so.
According to the TSU leader, distribution of stipend in the respective year of 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 was delayed. For the interest of the students TSU also demand a TRTC bus service from Dhalai District Headquarter to Kamalpur. ‘Appropriate action shall be taken’ said SDM R Hemendra Kumar.
