AGARTALA, Aug 2 (TIWN): PCC Chief Birjit Sinha has met the SSA teachers on Wednesday who are holding hunger strike since 2 days.
The Congress leader has strongly condemned the deprivation done to the SSA teachers.
The teachers have told the Congress leader about their agonies, deprivation done to them and the way the state govt has looted their salaries.
Birjit Sinha also assured them saying he will talk to the Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty soon and discuss the matter.
Sinha also said before the media, "Congress is with the hunger strikers. I'll call the Education Minister today and ask him to meet the teachers".
44 hunger strikers are sat in demonstration demanding regularization whereas many are supporting the strikers. Till now no govt official or doctor has visited them.
