AGARTALA, Aug 2 (TIWN): CPI-M has organized a protest rally at Agartala condemning against the IPFT barbaric attack held at Bodhjung Nagar issuing a rumour.
Still, the matter is suspicious as how police identified them as IPFT, how such a clash emerged with a single rumour and why CPI-M is propagating the clash via rallies, protests : Nothing is clear.
Also nothing was cleared to the media about who spread the rumour, neither police shared any information about this, signalling about a full planed work.
On the other side, SSA teachers are in hunger strike demanding their rights but CPI-M has no concern about them, rather they are busy to keep the focus on IPFT to sustain the tribal/ bengali sentiments rather than corruption cases.
Over 30 policemen were injured in Tripura on Tuesday when activists of a tribal party attacked them, alleging a woman has been abducted, the police said.
The woman was later found at her father's house, a police officer said. Hundreds of activists of the Indigenous People's Front of Tripura (IPFT) attacked the security personnel with stones and sticks at Bodhjungnagar, 20 km from here, West Tripura District Police chief Abhijit Saptarshi told TIWN.
"The IPFT people damaged government properties and attacked Bodhjungnagar police station and TSR (Tripura State Rifles) camp."
