SONAMURA, Aug 2 (TIWN): In demand of drinking water facility, locals blocked Agartala-Sonamura way at Ranga Matia area on Wednesday.

Allegation raised by the locals, "Since 2 months we have been suffering from heavy water crisis. But since last 3 / 4 days the water supplying has fully being stopped there".

That crisis situation led mass anger among the locals and on Wednesday they have come in massive protest, blocked road.

Whereas the agitators said they made multiple complaints, but the SDO Rabindra Debbarma said, he is not at all acknowledged about the problem.

The blockade was held at around 11 AM. Later SDO Rabindra Debbarma along with police rushed to the spot and controlled the situation.
