BELONIA, July 30 (TIWN): As part of the National Human Rights Commission mandate on education and sensitization of Police Forces with regards to Human Rights, a debate competition was organized on Saturday by South Tripura District Police in the Conference of Hall of the Superintendent of Police, South Tripura ,Belonia in which 24 (twenty four) personnel /Officers from Police/TSR have participated.
The topic of the Debate Competition was “Is Human Right promoting Better Policing”.
In the said programme, Smita Mol, SDM Belonia, Joytirmoy Shome, Ld. APP Belonia, Swapan Das, President, Belonia Press Club and B.P. Chakraborty , Lecturer of ICV College Belonia were present as Jury Member.
Prizes were given to the three best speakers a/w Participation Certificate to all the participants. Such initiative taken by South Tripura District Police for generating awareness on Human Rights have been appreciated by the Jury Member.
