AGARTALA, July 27 (TIWN): The pathetic condition of Umakanta stadium was complained since years led the sport dept to visit the field on Thursday.

Lack of maintenance has left the field almost unusable for cricket players. 

However, Tripura Sports Minister Sahid Chowdhury has visited the stadium in the morning.

Addressing the media, the Minister said that the field needs full recovering whereas in Tripura the number of experienced people to do such works are almost nil.

"Tripura Cricket Association" will take care of the field as they can only do it in better way, Sahid Chowdhury said.
