AGARTALA, August 1, (TIWN): Without permission entering in room and trying to assaulting a woman, C J M North Tripura announced four year imprisonment to accused Subash Malakar (35) under Gakulnagar police station of Unakoti, Kailashahar. The court announced this judgment yesterday.
According to the police, at around 9 pm, in the day of 10th June-2011, the accused entered in the victim’s room and assaulted her by touching hands and body. Accordingly the victim women started shouting. She alleged that, before leaving the room, accused Subash Malakar abused her & threaten that he must killed her. The victim immediately informs the Gram Pradhan and later she filled a case in local police station.
After investigating, police submitted a charge sheet against the accused by the section of 457/354 of Indian Penal Code. Sub Inspector P. Reang, (Currently, Inspector of Dhalai District) was the investigating officer.
Yesterday, honorable Chief Judicial Magistrate of Unakoti District punished the accused for four years imprisonment with a fine of Rs 10 thousand or more six months imprisonment and two years imprisonment, along with a fine of Rs. 5 thousand or more three months jail.
