AGARTALA, June 27 (TIWN): Alleging the Dept is not providing their wages in time, the intern doctors held a protest at GB Hospital on Tuesday.
While protesting the doctors said that it is very tough for them to continue their practice due to the delay of payments.
There are long pending wages that has not been paid by the state govt yet, said an agitator.
Intern or an Internee is a post MBBS doctor undertaking the Compulsory rotatory residential internship. This is a compulsory one year program where the trainee doctor is posted in various clinical departments and works under supervision. The stipend during this period varies from state to state in India.
