SONAMURA, June 21 (TIWN): 4 pickpocketers have been arrested by Tripura Police at Sonmaura on Wednesday.
The accused have been identified as Puja Malakar, Pinki Malakar, Kajol Malakar, Bijali Malakar who are actually residents of West Bengal, temporary living at Bishalgrah.
One purchaser named Parvin Aktar who was carrying Rs. 16000 cash with her, which was sent by her husband from foreign in Eid-purpose has theft by these 4 women.
Police have identified them from CCTV camera footage gathered from the shop, said Sonamura PS O/C Amal Chakraborty.
Police further said such gangs have spread across Tripura.
